Sired by the 2015 BAS National Supreme Champion; Popham Havengore, Popham Churchill is an outstanding light brown herdsire, with a ‘true to type’ phenotype and fleece attributes more commonly seen in the very best white huacaya.

Churchill’s dam; Compass Yvette also needs no introduction. An influential Jolimont Warrior daughter who was imported from Australia, Yvette has produced many show winners including Churchill’s full sister; Popham Gabine the 2019 BAS National Supreme champion Huacaya (who also resides here at Amberly).

As well as considering his own attributes, Churchill’s progeny have also proven to be ‘Chips of the Old Block’ with many Champions and Reserve Champions being produced. In 2023, his son, Amberly One For The Road won Champion Black Huacaya at both the NIAG Halter Championships and the 2023 All Ireland Fleece Show. Similarly, his daughter, Amberly Royal Acclaim won 1st intermediate Light Female, Champion Light Female, Best British Huacaya and Supreme Champion Huacaya at the NIAG Halter Championships 2023.
